People don’t mind standing in line 20 minutes or more (up to 1 hour) to get their cupcakes.

Celebrities can be seen lining for them in Beverly Hills.

Oprah Winfrey, Katie Holmes, Paris Hilton, Jessica Alba

+ many other celebrities *hearts* their cupcakes…

They were served at the set of Desperate Housewife

and Suri Cruise’s birthday party.

Martha Stewart featured their cupcake in her “Our Fav cupcake” show

Food network features them a number of times…

 

So need I say more?

 

Since they are sooooo unbelievable famous good popular…

give me a reason why I as a self proclaimed foodie

shouldn’t try out their cupcake…

none right?

 

Off we went to Sprinkles Cupcakes.

 

 

 

 

 

As we got nearer, we realized there was a long line of customers

in the store.

KS ( @_@): Queue-ing to BUY cupcakes?

My bro : OMG!! They are just cupcakes!

Me: quiet leh….

By this time, the line were so long that their customers

were lining out the door into the sidewalk.

 

KS: I cannot believe I’m queue-ing for cupcakes. This better be good.

Initially we wanted to get 3 cupcakes…

( $3.50 for one cupcake )

but KS thought we ought to get a dozen ($36)

since we drove 45 mins and waited 30 mins in line for it…

we wanted our foodie friends to try it too…

 

My bro: !!!!!! $3.50 for a cupcake??!!!

Me: shhhhh…..

 

So we bought:

Banana – dark choco fosting x 3

Dark Chocolate x 3

Black & White x 2

Strawberry x 1

Red Velvet x 1

Vanilla x 1

Peanut butter chocolate x 1

 

 

And we gave…

Mr A & Mrs Cho : Banana & Dark Chocolate

Cousin JJ & Mr D : Banana & Dark Chocolate

Mr J & Miss Kitman : Banana & Black n White

The PINK – Strawberry cupcake

Generous amount of frosting…

BUT way way way too sweet for our liking.

 

 

Need to remove that overly sugared frosting

 

 

Cake was soft, moist and flavorful.

Again, frosting was too sweet for us…

but i love the chocolate sprinkles.

KS, Cousin JJ and Mrs Cho are dark chocolate fanatics

and they agreed that

the cake was rich in flavor and moist.

Red Velvet Cupcake

Knowing the frosting is going to be too sweet for my liking,

I started from the bottom.

I have never tried red velvet so i have no idea what it suppose to taste like…

After my first bite…

I love this tiny red cake!

The taste is good. Not too sweet, moist and it has a unique flavor.

My bro loves it too.
